So why Govinda?<br /><br />Well, why not Govinda? Poised at the threshold of a second successful career, the <span style="" font-style:="" italic="">neta abhineta </span>actually is the prize catch for anyone looking for a cushy future. Here''s why:<br /><br />Govinda owns jewellery worth a whopping 1.85 crore - 23,469.96 gm in net weight. That''s all personal jewellery that the man owns, duly listed out in his affidavit as an election candidate. Wife Sunita has her own – worth a mere 32 lakhs, which could well be why she is miffed – so she won''t be staking claim. While the mind boggles at what kind of jewellery the man could possibly own, it would be worth the while to move in with him and find out. <br /><br /><br /></div> </div><div class="section3"><div class="Normal"><br /><span style="" font-size:="" font-weight:="" bold="">Second innings:</span><br /><br />Govinda may be a spent force in Bollywood, but he will not be spending the rest of his days playing the hero''s wise friend, a la, the Jackie Shroffs. He''s effortlessly moved on to another high-profile career. And there are no physical limitations for a politician – they come of age at around 65 years. Govinda is unlikely to settle for being a showpiece neta. He defeated a political veteran in former union minister Ram Naik, and has already plunged into constituency work. Being hitched to a man on the up is doing your Mama proud. <br /><br /><span style="" font-size:="" font-weight:="" bold="">Family business:</span><br /><br />He has been through a difficult estrangement, but those in the know say Govinda remains a family man. He likes having the entire lot around him, however distant. And looks after their interests. Like when he wanted ticket for the Assembly segments in his Lok Sabha constituency for his near and dear ones. He justified it by saying it was difficult for him to pay minute attention to the huge constituency all the time and having trusted people look after the Assembly segments would mean good coordination and better efficiency. Secretary Shashi Prabhu has managed a Congress ticket from Borivali, but brother Kirti has been left out. Still, Govinda gave it his best shot. Hanging out with him could be one way to ensure a direct entry into politics.<br /><br /><span style="" font-size:="" font-weight:="" bold="">Space management:</span><br /><br />Can you scoff at any man that owns three house in Mumbai? There is of course the little hitch that they are all in the name of the wife, but it shows the man knows how to build.
